It is IMPOSSIBLE to get through to the reception and even more IMPOSSIBLE to book an appointment.
Reception is always with the same answer that nothing can be done about anything.
Going to A&E is the only option left with, and I feel it is totally unnecessary.
The call handling queue is horrible, just wait on queue for hours and the call gets disconnected.
Such a terrible experience every time, you need a doctor's help.

Another dismal experience at BHC. Was queuing from 7.15 am in severe pain
Was fifth in line,when called to reception at approx 8.03 am was told no gp
appointments were available.A doctors call back was offered....in 2.5 weeks time!
The lady receptionist seemed annoyed that i questioned how can that be.
We do have 5 phone lines you know was her response!!
I do not need to elaborate on the above as long suffering residents of Burnham
will know all about the farce of the imaginary phone appointment.
I did see a nurse 1 hour later..who went to a gp to get me a prescription
that was another hour standing in pain.
The time must surely be near for the partnered GPS and Parmit Panesar to be held to account for the atrocious way this practice is run.
They need to be investigated and shamed for letting down Burnham residents.
WELL WE ALL KNOW, TRYING TO EVEN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IS IMPOSSIBLE, WHATEVER ONE TRIES, EVEN THIS STARTED WITH ME TRYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THROUGH REPEAT PRESCRIPTION WITH COMMENTS UNDERNEATH THE REQUEST WHICH ATTEMPTING TO ASK DOCTOR TO MAKE A DATE SUITING HIM, WHICH I WOULD COMPLY WITH.
What’s the point in going to reception for help with a problem relating to prescription. To be told someone will call me back later!! So tell the receptionist who tells someone else to call me so that I can tell someone agin the problem ! When I asked why someone could not help me as I’m at the surgery apparently the staff can not leave the office!! Your poor staff !
Total waste of my time waiting all day for an unnecessary call and involvement of more than one staff member.
I was behind a gentleman who was also frustrated by calling into the surgery as he couldn’t get through who was actually saying I don’t need a doctor!! I need you to help me.
Please train your reception staff to smile and help and trouble shoot . Not stare at a computer and decide who should call back!! And think how can I get this person to leave!!!
