I would like to add to my review below as I feel I didn’t stress enough the absolute rarity of my condition. With the condition being so rare it was missed by one Doctor I had seen before I see Ms Pearsall. Thankfully Ms Pearsall was so knowledgeable she knew of this condition and was able to quickly diagnose me with this. She did everything she could trying to get me the correct treatment from hospitals as she knew I faced being blind at age 18 if I wasn’t treated promptly. She tried her hardest to get me into any hospital that would give me the treatment she knew I desperately needed and was even still trying into the late hours of that night, Whilst still ringing me and reassuring me she would get this sorted. This just shows how much she really does care for her patients and she won’t stop until they have the correct treatment. After nearly a year on I am now rid of the condition and with 20/20 vision. I put this all down to Ms Pearsall and could not thank her enough. If you get the chance to be seen by Ms Pearsall you are definitely in safe hands !

Ms Pearsall went above and beyond to make sure I was getting the treatment I needed, even checking in with me once I was referred to the hospital. She was fast in correctly diagnosing my condition which helped when trying to get the right treatment from the hospital. Once the hospital had confirmed my condition she then proceeded to yet again go above and beyond and emailed me a file with all information on my condition which helped me understand the condition and ease my mind. I genuinely don’t think I would of had the outcome I have had if it wasn’t for Ms Pearsall being so thorough and knowledgable.

I am so pleased that you are now on track to making an excellent recovery - to be honest I desperately wanted to make sure that no time was lost on treatment and care and that you had the right treatment. You have your whole life ahead of you and it makes be truly weep to think what might have been. Its not often I say this but I am so privileged to have this job and its not often you feel you have actively saved sight. May you have the most wonderful life ahead of you !

She is amazing! In a busy and hardworking department, Ms Pearsall is always smiling, friendly and welcoming and generous with her time. My husband has just completed a very positive double cataract procedure and I will be very happy to follow him shortly.
Unable to make any suggestions for improvement - she is doing a grand job.

After a very long wait for an initial consultation at Whipps Cross I was lucky to meet and be treated by Tahmina Pearsall
She operated on my weakest eye at the end of August. As I suffer from glaucoma, cataracts and very short sight I was very nervous.
Ms Pearsall was very professional and put me at ease. She removed my cataract and corrected my vision.
The result is fantastic! The improvement to my vision is unbelievable I now await treatment on my second eye.

I am always aware of the fact that our eyes are one of the most precious things we have.. especially if you have glaucoma too.. Everyone is nervous and anxious its understandable so we try really hard to make that moment as comfortable as possible.. and as always we try really really hard to make sure that we carry you through this journey... My name is Ms Tahmina Pearsall and I am an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist based previously at Whipps Cross University Hospital – part of the prestigious Bartshealth Trust - one of the top London teaching hospitals and now at East Surrey Hospital.
