I was referred to Mrs Carmicheal from the breast care unit as she was the specialist carry out my lumpectomy and breast preserving surgery I had already heard how amazing she was and she truly was From the very first meeting she was warm and friendly and told me she would take good care of me and she has Going through this journey was scary but I also trusted her and she did not disappoint me she was so kind she got me through this hard journey to having the all clear I forever grateful and full of gratitude to have been able to have Mrs Carmichael as my surgeon . true diamond

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, i felt Ms Carmichael was with me every step of the way. I felt informed about the process throughout, and she helped me to understand. We came across complications, Ms Carmichael went above and beyond to gather as much information as possible, communicating with other medical staff who were liked to me, in order to make difficult decisions which were the best outcome for me. Ms Carmichael treated me with respect, dignity, care and compassion. As a surgeon, she still treats patients as individuals and talks 'human to human' this is how i felt before, during and after.

Mrs Carmichael was amazing, she gave me my biopsy results went through my options to doing my mastectomy and then results. She is so warm and I always feel calm with her. Even when I went for my results from my surgery I felt confident thankfully it was good news and you could tell she is so happy to give you the news, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear I knew that I would of been OK and not anxious.

For me to say that the last 12 months have been a journey would be an understatement. From the initial diagnosis, the mastectomy through to the last months operation Mrs Carmichael has been there offering support and advise every step of the way. She is a very talented, skilful lady who empathises with her patients and is supported by a great team. Can't thank you enough!

Mrs Carmichael is a great Dr, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer (January 2022) she was amazing, no sooner as I was diagnosed I was in and operated on to remove the lump, Mrs Carmichael held my hand whilst I was being put to sleep and hew work is amazing. I’ve also just had Mrs Carmichael reshape my other breast (October2023) to match the breast I had cancer in and again she’s done an amazing job. In my eyes Mrs Carmichael is the best there is ( hopefully for obvious reasons) I don’t need her again…but highly recommend her and respect her. Than you for everything Mrs Carmichael xx
