Mr Al-Hakim carried out a rotator cuff repair, subpectoral biceps tenodesis and subacromial decompression on my shoulder in February 2017. The 2.5 hour surgery followed nearly two years of pain and sleepless nights. Six months on, I am back at the gym, running again and I've returned to karate. I also have practically a full range of motion which I have no doubt will continue to improve. I am so grateful for the treatment I have received and couldn't thank Mr Al-Hakim enough for his outstanding ability, professionalism and knowledge; I could not recommend him enough.

I was refered to Mr Wasim Al-Hakim for his advice regarding the pain and restricted movement in my right shoulder. From the outset Mr Al-Hakim listened and through examination confirmed what was causing my distress. Without undue delay he carried out day surgery and within a few weeks I have movement that I hadn't had in a long time. I highly recommend Mr Al-Hakim for his very professional Orthopaedic skills. My recovéy is amazing.

Mr Wisam Al-Hakim This surgeon took the time to explain every details of my operation even down to what sort of pain I would be in Totally amazing Man I felt at ease from the moment of the 1st visit to the operating theatre to the post op appointment, Professor of surgery should be added to the front of this mans name, No words can say how much this man has help me and to be pain free is more than I could very wish for Thankyou Mr Wisam Al-Hakim

Mr Al-Hakim showed great patience when he assessed my injury in late 2016, I had suffered for a period of 5-6 years with a rotator cuff tear to my left shoulder and was resigned to a life of interrupted sleep at night. It suffered further trauma in November 2016 and Mr Al-Hakim was uncertain if he would be able to improve on it but, he was willing to take a look. Surgery was scheduled for March 1st 2017, it lasted 4 hours but he managed to repair a 5cm tear which was massive by normal standards. I've seen him again today and just can't express my gratitude sufficiently, I still have a way to go with the physiotherapy but I sleep all night now and I can see a daily improvement in my range of movement and also the build up in strength. A great surgeon and a true gentleman who I would recommend unhesitatingly.

I was lucky enough to be treated at The Holly as a NHS patient. I've just been discharged after only 6 weeks following an Arthroscopic Subacromial Decompression. Mr Al - Hakim was so pleased with my progress. That would be down to his surgery and expertise. The scars are barely visible and with time will hardly be seen and i almost have full movement. The recovery has exceeded far my expectations. He took time to explain the procedure before hand and today showed me photographs taken during surgery and explained in laymans terms what had been done. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and will be returning at some point to have the other one done.
