We have interacted with many health and care professionals due to our child’s disabilities, but Mr. William Flannery has been the most outstanding, compassionate and thorough professional we have met. He truly listened to us, demonstrating an excellent understanding of autism. This allowed us to discuss behavioral and medical differences—one of the biggest challenges SEND parents face—with confidence. His manner and approach with our child were particularly impressive, showing great compassion in a situation that could have been overwhelming for a child with autism. Despite the long wait for our appointment, we never felt rushed. Mr. Flannery took the time to explain expectations and options clearly, ensuring we could make well-informed decisions as parents moving forward. My son and I were immediately put at ease by Mr Flannery. He took time and care to explain the issues, and discussed the potential options with me. He was happy to listen to all my questions, and didn’t make me feel awkward while my son was struggling to sit still. My son didn’t want his throat looked at, but Mr Flannery still managed to have a look, without putting my son in any discomfort.
