Mr Almeyda was both courteous and polite showing a personal interest in my welfare. He made a thorough and careful examination of my nasal cavity. He showed me the pictures and explained them. He expressed satisfaction with the result of the surgery but explained the need for periodic review. He allowed time for any questions I had. I felt reassured after my visit and by the fact I could contact him any time should I feel worried about any change in my condition.

Having signed up for a trial for discovering the best treatment for sinus problems, I attended at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading for the questionnaires and tests. Although it transpired that I didn't meet the necessary criteria to be accepted onto the trial, Robert Almeyda and his team offered me the utmost kindness and respect during my appointment. Results were shared with me, and when my ECG indicated worrying signs, he checked with a cardiology expert and was able to reassure me that there was nothing for me to worry about at all which put mind at ease. If anyone asked, I would recommend this consultant and team as offering an exemplary service of all that is good in the NHS.
