Mr Stuart Robertson treated me for my breast cancer which was diagnosed in March 2020 he took over my care in June 2020 where he explained that I needed a lumpectomy and Therapeutic Mammoplasty to reshape my breast after the cancer has been removed. Mr Robertson drew this out for me so that I fully understood what would happen with this procedure explaining the recovery as well as what could happen should the surgery not be fully successful. Mr Robertson also advised that I may want further surgery in the future for a symmetrising breast reduction to the other breast once the first operation had settled down due to the size difference and that he would gladly carry this out. Mr Robertson answered all the question that I had, giving me full confidence in the approach that he had explained and putting me at ease. I received my operation at the end of June which was totally successful with no problems. I then underwent Radiotherapy to follow up the surgery. Mr Robertson then carried out my symmetry surgery in September which has made a huge different to my wellbeing helping me to put my cancer behind me for which I will be eternally grateful. I now have much smaller breasts now which are healing well with minimal scarring. The healing is improving day by day, the scarring from the first surgery is hardly noticeable and the second one is looking well too. All this took place during a scary time due to the Covid 19 Pandemic but every care was taken to ensure my safety by both Mr Robertson and the hospital. I would highly recommend Mr Robertson for breast cancer surgery and reconstruction work for which he has exceptional skills.

Mr Stuart Robertson is treating me for breast cancer, diagnosed December 2017. From my first appointment he put me at ease and gave me great confidence. He listened to my questions and explained the proposed lumpectomy; outlining the steps involved in the procedure and the aimed for outcome in a very clear and understandable way. The surgery which was carried out in January 2018 was of the highest standard and was incredibly neat and I have been left with minimal scarring. Mr Robertson has great empathy, clarity and at follow up appointments he’s very diligent. His coordination with the oncologist before and during my chemotherapy and radiotherapy was exemplary. This has continued with the liaison between him and the radiographer who carries out my annual mammogram, which demonstrates great teamwork as well as his obvious technical, surgical skills. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Robertson for breast cancer surgery.
