I have met Mr Farid on two occasions and he has also performed breast surgery on me recently. He is a charming, gentle man and I immediately felt at ease with him. this helped me to conquer my nervousness and anxiety as he was completely approachable. All my questions were answered fully and I left his clinic feeling reassured and positive. I also felt that he was not rushing me in order to move on to the next patient. I was lucky in that Mr Farid performed my surgery and he was also the doctor I saw at appointments before and after my surgery which was reassuring. I do think that this continuity is important and would like this to be the case for everybody. It might be 'one of the team' that may do follow up appointments and this may be someone you have never met before and so there is not the same personal contact.

Myself and my husband have seen Mr Ahmed a few times this year while I have been undergoing treatment for breast cancer. He has also performed 2 operations on me. We have both found him to be a very professional and courteous man....he always listens to us and answers our questions thoughtfully, and is both knowledgeable and approachable. He explains things well and has a lovely manner. I am very happy with both the operations he performed.

I met Mr Farid Ahmed at my second appointment to see a Consultant. I had seen Mr Cunnick at my first appointment. I was a bit worried that Mr Cunnick was on leave and that I would be seeing another Consultant to get the results of my MRI scan but I needn't have worried. I learned that Mr Cunnick and Mr Ahmed do actually work together during some operations so he was very knowledgeable about my case. I found Mr Ahmed to be a lovely man who is very approachable. He explained everything to me in detail about the operation I am to have and went to a lot of trouble to work out a date for the op so that I could still go on holiday. My husband and our daughter had accompanied me to the appointment and we were all firing questions at him and he answered them all in a kind and professional way. Mr Farid Ahmed made the whole experience a pleasant one.

A warm and friendly approach. I never felt hurried or as if I was making a fuss about nothing. He explained everything clearly and was reassuring. He also explained the technique for checking my breasts and frequency. Education is so important. My experience at the Breast Clinic was very positive. Everyone was pleasant. The building was sparkling clean. Wycome Hospital is a credit to the NHS.
