I went to see Dr Gallen prior to completing an Apline bike race. I was very worried about how to take on the carbo's I would need to complete the course. I had been given various bits of advice by GPs, apparent diabetes specialists and dieticians, none of which I felt confident with. Dr Gallen was great at getting to understand my issues and gave me advice that proved to be absolutely spot on and that was radically different to the views I had previously been given. I finished the race with a blood sugar of 6.8! Without Dr Gallen this would not have been possible.
