HIs bedside manner is very good. He telephoned my Wife soon after the operation to assure her all went well, which was kind of him. He does take an interest in you as a person and listens to any problems or worries and answers any questions or queries you may have. He is never in a rush.

I was refered to Dr Ellis, by another doctor due to his great reputation in ACL surgerys and he was fantastic, i met him around a month before surgery, to which he explained everything i needed to know, he told me to contact him if i need anything at all. On the morning of the surgery he came and spoke to me for around 10 minutes to make sure i was still happy with everything and to Make me comfortable. The surgery went well and im currently recovering at home, but i would 100% reccomend Dr Ellis to anyone.

Unfortunately although Mr Ellis was very professional his office were the opposite in fact they were non cooperative and extremely rude (Hannah) explained to me that it is not her policy for her department to speak to the insurance company to discuss treatments. The problem is the insurance company had already spoken to another colleague of Hannah the previous day and was told that they would get back to Axa after they had made further enquiries. As neither party bothered to call each other it was left to me to me to to again contact Hannah and was told that it was not her place to follow up the situation. As a private patient it is extremely concerning that having paid a large amount of money for the original consultation I am then expected to chase people who are not really that interested in doing there job.

Response from Mr Simon Ellis

Thank you for leaving your feedback. I appreciate the frustration particularly where one's health and well-being are concerned. I am very sorry that you have come away with this impression of the team who look after my practice, in particular Hana. They all strive very hard to manage every patient's expectations however dealing with the insurance companies can be very difficult indeed particularly with GDPR requirements as a third party. I have discussed the events with Hana and the team and moving forward. Kind regards Simon Ellis
