Mr Ellis has looked after my knee for more than 12 years and when it came to TKR I had no qualms in putting myself in his care. He is easy to get on with, personable and honest and his phone call the night before was reassuring and his insisted on calling my son after surgery. The Spire Alexandra provided a caring back up team and I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ellis and The Spire to anyone with a similar problem.

Dr Ellis the incredible knee doctor. Upon investigating my knee last year there had been several attempts by other doctors of a diagnosis but they had failed. Most didn’t listen to me and I felt that I was never going to be fixed. I was referred to Dr Ellis and had heard good reviews. Concluding my initial appointment with him I felt so happy that he was able to diagnose what was wrong and he actually listened to me which made me feel so much better. I felt safe with the operation he performed and trusted him fully. I’m now looking forward to a good recovery all thanks to Dr Ellis .

Mr Ellis is an absolute superstar, with superpowers in communicating and care!! He made me feel totaly safe about having an operation, the first in my life! He listenesd to my many many questions and answered with knowledge, confidence and tact. From the very beginning, Mr Ellis greeted me and my partner warmly and friendly. I felt at ease straight away. Mr Ellis explained the procedure in depth, including the pre and post care in great detail. He took time for us to ask any questions and at no point felt rushed. Mr Ellis gave the personal touch by ringing me the night before my procedure from his home. He also rang my partner straight after my operation explaining how the procedure went and how I was recovering in theatre. He also came to visit me on the ward before going home, to see how I was getting on. These touches meant so much to me and my partner. Mr Ellis has years of experience in the Orthopaedic field. He is one of the 'old fashioned surgeons' which is like gold dust nowadays. He has provided superior professional standards of care and comes across as an absolute gentleman. I couldn't have wished for a better consultant doing my Operation. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Mr Ellis for his overall professionalism.
