After having a Left hip replacement on the 24th of June 21 at Park Hill hospital, i fully recommend Mr Shankar Thiagarajah and the rest of the team there. From the very first consultation any concerns were listened to and addressed, and his friendly ,but professional manner, was very reassuring. The surgery itself and subsequent recovery being uneventful and surprisingly quick, with the wound healing very well, leaving just a thin scar. During the two day stay, i also received great support from the nursing staff who kept me painfree, and the physios, who gave me advise on exercises to aid aid my recovery. Information leaflets and any equipment needed was provided on discharge, Just over two weeks after the actual op, i was off crutches, and absolutely pain free for the first time in over a year. I would like to say another BIG thank you to Mr Thiagarajah, i can only echo the words of others when i say you really have given me my life back.

I had previously had a traumatic experience with a right hip replacement. I was put under Mr Thiagarajah's care and cannot recommend him highly enough. From the first meeting he put my nerves at ease and gave me a confidence in himself and to move forward. Mr Thiagarajah replaced my left hip, little to no bruising, excellent scar, only pain than can be expected instead of the agony from the right hip replacement, listened and took onboard my concerns, put me at ease and basically left me pain free for the first time in 10 years. I feel I have gained my life back.
