Probably won’t be able to help me on this occasion but explained why & is referring me on to another doctor who will, but also made a further appointment with him so he keeps in touch & updated with my care which I thought was reassuring. I was seen at Bassetlaw Hospital, but it won’t let me select any other location apart from Doncaster Royal Infirmary on this form!

Pre surgery appointments with Mr Panniker were very informative, he explained exactly what he was going to do, very graphically. He saw me on the morning of my surgery and after i requested it gave a detailed plan of what he intended doing and possible alternatives. However it was disappointing that he didn't visit me post op, his manner on the day of surgery was much more distant than in clinic. This attitude made me feel a bit like I was on a conveyor belt. There was no personalisation there, I found this disappointing

He does not look you in the eyes when he talks to you he looks at his laptop or on the floor. Eye to eye contact can tell you a lot about a person Everything went great in my operation and I trust the future will be bright for my recovery

He was good in clinic, on the morning of surgery he came to see me and was a little abrupt but that may have been me being nervous and misinterpreting him. When he came to see me after surgery he explained everything well and answered all my questions in professional but friendly manner
