Mr Berber is a very personable and approachable consultant who immediately put me at ease on my visit today. I felt that I could have an honest and open conversation with him without any hesitation on my part .
Mr Berber examined my operated knee, the flexibility I had with it and showed me the recent x ray that had been taken following my surgery. I felt comfortable voicing my thoughts about the operation and the weeks at home following this.
He reiterated what had been done during the operation process and gave me honest feedback about my recovery and for the future. Mr Berber also answered queries relating to medication I was currently taking.
Further questions I had relating to my recovery/ future , Mr Berber was able to answer these appropriately. I left the consultation feeling confident about my future and for the resumption of my life’s interests and hobbies that I had been unable to do prior to surgery.
I have a huge respect for Mr Berber not only as a consultant surgeon but his ability to communicate effectively to me as a patient.

Mr Berber performed my hip replacement operation 7 weeks ago and I am highly satisfied with his care and attention during and after the operation. Mr Berber was very personable, he listened to my worries before, and, after surgery, my joy at the outcome. He explained what would happen before and afterwards reassured me as to my progress. Mr Reshid Berber is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery. His NHS practice is based at Nottingham University Hospitals and his private practice is based at The Park Hospital, BMI Healthcare Nottingham.
Mr Berber graduated from University College London, and trained in London before moving to the East Midlands where he undertook specialist training on the highly regarded training programmes across both Nottingham and Leicester.
Mr Berber was awarded a PhD from University College London, for completing a programme of internationally recognised research based at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. Mr Berber has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and has received numerous awards in recognition of his research activities. Mr Berber is a dedicated faculty member on a number of national and international teaching courses.
Mr Berber's experiences have equipped him with a breadth of knowledge and skills in performing primary hip and knee joint replacement surgery and complex revision surgery.
