Mr Barod is fantastic communicator, shows genuine empathy and care, and is also an incredibly talented surgeon. I am so grateful that I have been under his care and that he has guided me through this difficult journey over the past six months.

Mr Ravi Barod is an excellent and extremely competent doctor, and I would highly recommend him. He performed a robotic nephrectomy ( removal of my right kidney) using modern robotic technology, which meant my stay in the hospital was shortened, and my recovery after the operation was quicker than it would have been.
He was happy to explain the procedure I was about to undergo and discuss any concerns I had with me and my husband. As such he was able to reassure me.

Dr Barod has made me comfortable and reassured throughout the first stages of my pre-care, surgery and post care. He has always explained the detail in a way which is easy to understand, something that is greatly appreciated at an unnerving time.

Mr Barod acted through out my care in a thoroughly professional and caring manner.
He took time to explain each step in my treatment.
He listened to our questions and gave answers that reassured and made me feel confident that I had the best Surgeon I could have.

Mr Ravi Barod is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at The Specialist Centre for Kidney Cancer at The Royal Free Hospital. He is one of the highest volume kidney cancer surgeons in the UK.
After completing his urological training in London, he undertook a two year robotic surgery fellowship, mentored by pioneers of the technique in Detroit, USA. While there, he mastered complex robotic surgical techniques and he has bought this unique expertise back to the UK.
He has a strong and active track record in research and has completed a PhD investigating the molecular genetics of kidney cancer at University College London.
He is dedicated to achieve outstanding patient care, driven by clinical and academic excellence.
