Cannot recommend Mr Kaba enough, I had several consultation over a six week period, as well as several procedures. He made me relaxed, comfortable and was happy to answer my many questions. He was very thorough when explaining the procedures I was about to have, and also the results afterwards. He is a real asset to the profession and would not hesitate to book further consultations if needed

In August of 2023 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, Mr Rahim Kaba was the Consultant Urologist at Warwick Hospital who reviewed my case, he took time to ensure that I understood my diagnosis and explained in detail my prognosis. He explained that the Multi Disciplinary Team, had recommended Watch and Wait as the best way of monitoring my cancer, this was due to my cancer being diagnosed at an early stage and appeared to be relatively slow growing. My life expectancy was high for at least 5 years and possibly for 10 years, provided my cancer remained contained to my prostate. He explained my cancer could at some time spread to other organs most notably to my bones, in such case my prognosis would become terminal, though hormone and steroid treatment would alleviate the symptoms. Mr Kaba was kind and generous with his time to ensure I had understood all the information provided, he advised me to take some time to go over what he had discussed with me to read the information pack and look at websites such as Macmillan and Cancer Research UK, then to call him to make another appointment if I wanted to discuss my diagnosis or prognosis in further detail. Taking Mr Kaba's advice I reviewed all the information I had been provided with, spoke with my GP and friends who had prostate cancer. I came to the decision Watch and Wait was not for me I spoke with Mr Kaba and requested I see him privately at the Nuffield Hospital Leamington Spa, I wanted to have the time to outline all the options in regard to possible treatment of my prostate cancer. Again Mr Kaba was most understanding and outlined all the options in detail, after some discussion he thought it would be best if I sought a second opinion and suggested he refer me to Professor Prasanna Sooriakumaran (PS) at the Cleveland Clinic London. Mr Kaba explained Professor PS, was probably the foremost surgeon in the UK dealing with prostate cancer and he had been a pupil of his. On Mr Kaba's recommendation I met with Professor PS who was almost forensic in his knowledge of my particular cancer, he outlined the best case scenario in my case, being a radical prostatectomy, my recovery time and if I undertook to loose weight, get fitter and ensure I undertook a daily regime of pelvic floor exercises, the I should look forward to not only being cancer free but also to be able to lead a full, long and active life. I had my radical prostatectomy operation in January 2024, my recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, I feel great, loosing weight going down the gym and have very little incontinence problems, which should resolve themselves in the near future. I cannot thank Mr Kaba for taking the time to understand my concerns and to put me in touch with Professor PS, I now know I can look forward with some confidence to being cancer free in regard to prostate cancer.

Mr. Kaba is extremely skilled and experienced; he solved my prostate and bladder difficulties and transformed my life. In addition, in my hour of need, he was very considerate and caring. Words can't say how grateful, relieved and appreciative I am and will always be to Mr. Kaba.

Due to the challenges of my prostate I attended three appointments with Mr Kaba in addition to a Cystoscopy procedure that he undertook. On every occasion he was patient, reassuring, confidence building and decisive. He regularly took the trouble to phone me with results of blood tests etc; even at weekends. His skill, expertise and utter professionalism has resulted in a completely successful outcome in relation to the treatment of my condition.
