After years of consulting g.p.s,physiotherapy etc for my worsening lower back condition I came under the care as an NHS patient of Dr Mano Shanmuganathan at 352 medical care Kingsbridge Belfast.Straightaway I really impressed by his friendly, informative, reassuring manner something I hadn't experienced with previous doctors in the past.As of now I'm 8 weeks post laminectomy surgery performed by Mano and I feel there has been a massive improvement in my previous condition.Before I wrote this I read all the previous reviews on Dr Shanmuganathan and I must say I totally agree with the comments shared.Theres not much more I could add other than for me Mano Shanmuganathan is a benchmark in terms of how a Dr treats his patients.I feel extremely fortunate to have been in his care,a truly remarkable man.

I have recently been treated by Consultant Neurosurgeon Mano Shanmuganathan for a revision of a Herniated Disc. Mano is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever been treated by. From the 1st appointment back in December to being seen for my post surgery review today, he has been an absolute joy to have as my surgeon. Mano's easy going but very professional manner makes you feel at ease. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing a neurosurgeon and have the opportunity to have Mano treat you, you will be in very capable and caring hands. One of the people we support was lucky enough to have Mano Shanmuganathan as his surgeon. From diagnosis to after surgery we could not fault the treatment received by this person, Mano spoke directly to the person, explained in easy to explain language what needed to be done, the treatment and possible outcomes. The surgery was particularly difficult but was managed in the best interests of the person. The aftercare in the Royal was excellent, the staff were attentive and supported the person through their recovery. we were told to call Mano's secretary if we had any issues and we found everyone quick to respond when we needed them. The person has fully recovered and is back to having an active, independent life. If you are unfortunate to need the expertise of a Neurosurgeon I hope you are lucky enough to have Mano. No one wants to find themselves in need of a neurosurgeon, but if you or a loved one are ever in that position then you will count your blessings if Mr Shanmuganathan is on duty. The pressures on the NHS are well documented yet NHS staff such as Mr Shanmuganathan save and transform lives on a daily basis. Not only does he share his amazing talents and gifts so generously and with such success, but he has a down to earth approachable manner, allowing you to ask questions which helps you when you have no control over the traumatic events to trust in Mr Shanmuganathan's expertise.
