Mr. Karthik Karuppaiah absolutely deserves his reputation as one of the very best upper limb surgeons in the country, if not the world. I recently broke my right arm above the elbow in three places and my left ankle in a fall from high level, and was rushed to London's King's College Hospital trauma unit. The breaks in my arm were so bad that none of the surgeons at the hospital apart from Mr. Karuppaiah were willing to undertake the operation I needed. I lay waiting on a ward for five days at King's as there was no space for me in the operating theatre, but Mr. Karuppaiah was anxious to get me operated on as quickly as possible as the sooner I had the operation, he said, the quicker would be my recovery. As I had private medical insurance I was moved to London Bridge Hospital where Mr. Karuppaiah had an available slot in the operating theatre. Mr. Karuppaiah carried out a brilliant 3 hour combined operation on my broken ankle, placing two large screws in it, and on my right arm, inserting a long metal plate from above the elbow to my shoulder with 17 screws in it. I can safely say that Mr. Karuppaiah saved the use of my right arm for me, and as I am right handed, he has made a huge difference to my life going forward. Mr. Karuppaiah is the kindest and gentlest of men, and I will forever be grateful to him. I cannot recommend him more highly as a surgeon and as a dedicated, caring and attentive medical professional.

Mr Karuppaiah listened to my problems and decided to do the three problem areas with my right arm and hand, in one operation. This saved me from returning for further surgery if the problem had not been cleared during individual surgeries. I found him to be polite and friendly and would recommend him to any of my family and friends.

Mr Karuppaiah has been a fantastic support to my 16 year old son who received a shoulder dislocation playing rugby in 2017. Mr Karuppaiah successfully operated on Michael in July 2018 and further supported him when he had a frozen shoulder in November 2018. Mr Karuppaiah is a highly skilled surgeon/consultant and a credit to his profession, I would highly recommend him.
