I was referred to Mr Gnanalingham by my local health team after a health check revealed a large tumour in my pituitary gland. I found Mr Gnanalingham to be charming, professional, caring and extremely informative. He explained to me in great detail the type of tumour I had, how he intended to operate to remove the tumour and what my prognosis was. He took total charge of everything and completely put my very significant fears at rest. The tumour was successfully removed by Mr Gnanalingham and his team during August 2020 and my subsequent recovery has been a complete one. I no longer need to wear glasses, have lost weight and have a lot more energy. Throughout my care Mr Gnanalingham kept me fully informed with regular zoom calls (because of Covid-19 restrictions) and follow ups. I cannot rate this surgeon highly enough. I am totally indebted to him and remain in awe of what he and his team are capable of. His professionalism, skills and care are truly exemplary.

I was treated for a subdural haematoma which required urgent surgery by Mr Gnanalingham and his team at Salford. The care I was given was excellent and I have made a speedy and full recovery. The whole team were wonderful and helped me to obtain a quick discharge.

I recently underwent treatment under Mr Gnanalingham's care. The service from first point of contact was first class, I was in a lot of pain, and with the current pandemic I was getting nowhere to get some relief. I got in touch with Vaani who was absolutely amazing, Vaani was very understanding and got me the help I needed asap, and this dedication was the case throughout my treatment, with exceptional response times to any query, and organised everything for me. I was slightly anxious prior to the treatment due to the current pandemic however, it was a seamless experience. I was updated throughout this period and I felt comfortable and safe during the day of my procedure My experience with Mr Gnanalingham, was also first class, Mr Gnanalingham was very understanding of my situation. When I attended my appointment Mr Gnanalingham had already had the knowledge of my history and current situation, within no time Mr Gnanalingham had a arranged a scan, and then the relevant follow up treatment in no time. During this treatment, Mr Gnanalingham was reassuring throughout, and explained everything every step of the way, and also with the follow up appointment, which made such a difference to me. Since having the procedure there has been a noticeable difference in my pain and range of movement. Thank you Gnanalingham for you knowledge, expertise, and exceptional care.

In desperation I attended the Alexandra Hospital in December 2019 having developed a painful back and sciatica, in my role as carer for my husband. I had suffered considerable pain the whole of December and was becoming desperate with the NHS services who were stretched during this difficult period, all of which I could empathise having worked in the NHS for 43yrs. I asked the Emergency Doctor who saw me at the Alexandra hospital as to whom he would refer his wife? From thereon it was ‘plain sailing’ for me and I was seen by Mr G shortly thereafter. His level of expertise ascertained through his first clinical examination of me and whole professional approach impressed me. I am aware that he works for the NHS at Salford Royal Hospital too, which is renowned as a centre of excellence for Neurosurgery. His PA Vaani is a great asset to the team with her soothing and helpful manner. Should we require any further treatment, we would not hesitate to seek Mr G's clinical expertise and knowledge.
