I had my THR surgery in September 2022 and would like to wholeheartedly thank Mr Webb and his wonderful clinic assistant for making me feel like their only patient. Mr Webb put me at ease the minute I met him, and actually said when I asked what I thought was a stupid question, that no question is stupid. He explained every aspect of the surgery and recovery and gave me the time I needed even when I knew the team were really busy. I would 100% recommend Mr Webb at Southmead hospital for putting me back on the right track and getting me moving again. Walking is my passion and he gave it back to me, I am eternally grateful.

From the outset Mr Webb explained the procedure, (total hip replacement) to me. He went into every detail which I needed to know and answered all questions I raised. The operation was performed on me as planned without any issues. Since the operation I have recovered well and seen Mr Webb for the post op examination. He is very pleased with the way I have recovered and explained to me to still take exercise steadily and build on them gradually. I am very pleased with the way I have been treated as a patient and for the continued support available should I require it.

Mr Webb listened to my concerns before the operation and was very clear re the risks and possible problems. As someone with Type 1 diabetes he explained the higher risk of infection and that my diabetes had to be well controlled in order to have the hip replacement. The 2 week post operation check was very reassuring that all was well. Mr Webb also picked up on an allergic reaction I had to the plaster, so the wound was left uncovered. The only comment I would make on how he could improve is that for a less confident patient it might be hard to voice their concerns, but for me I was listened to really well.
