I cannot thank Mr Hutchinson enough for restoring me to a pain free and active quality of life. In November 2019 due to severe debilitating osteoarthritis in both hips he undertook my 1st hip replacement surgery and the second in November 2020. From the onset of my care Mr Hutchinson instilled me with confidence to undergo the procedure and in making a full recovery. Combined with his excellent professional skills and positive reassuring attitude I found recovery from my 1st hip replacement straight forward and had no concerns about undertaking my second with him. I cannot praise him enough.

I was seen by Mr Hutchinson last yer and has a total knee replacment on the 16th of Nov 2020,his team were absolutely fantastic right the way through from going to surgery to being looked after in the post operation,I saw him today 7th Jan for a post op appointment the knee is fantastic and has given me a new lease of life no more pain.

Mr Hutchinson has completely changed my life. I was in struggling to walk with my arthritic hip and in constant pain. Limping badly. Even getting out of a chair or turning over in bed caused great pain. Mr Hutchinson changed all that and I have been completely pain free for over a year since he performed a hip replacement operation on my tight hip. I was quite nervous about having the operation done, but Mr Hutchinson explained the procedure (and the risks) in great detail and totally put my mind at rest. To have the operation done was the best decision I ever made and I would urge anyone in pain to do what I did. Mr Hutchinson.... I can`t thank you enough.

Mr Hutchinson gave a clear explanation of the diagnosis using my X rays and gave practical advice about steps to mitigate pain and clear advice that I would need a hip replacement. I subsequently had a complete hip replacement performed by Mr Hutchinson and have been extremely pleased with the outcome. Pain and discomfort have been minimal and I have been pleasantly surprised with how quickly my body has recovered. My other hip will need replacing at some point in the future. I genuinely hope that Mr Hutchinson will be able to do that operation as well. I have total confidence in him.

I ignored my hip pain for years, accepting, not only the debilitaing pain, but also the life limitations, I finally sought advice from James Hutchinson. James explained the proceedure and showed me how severe my hip problem was ,advising that the surgery should be coompleted asap.James gave me lots of pre surgury advice and prep to ensure I recovered well, this included weight management and hydration, he was very encouraging. Day two post surgery I felt the immediate relief from the pain and also the release in being able to stand up straight. There was the usual post surgery discomfort but, to be honest, this was nothing in comparison to what I had been experiencing. Six weeks to the day I confidently walked into the consultation room, with no crutch and walking pain free and upright! I can't recommend James enough, his pre and post care has been fantastic, even being on the end of a phone when I experienced leg swelling and checked me for DVT-just normal post surgery swelling. Post surgery James is monitoring my progress with a six month check in place and close monitoring of my other hip to prevent issues. I would recommend James as a surgeon not only for his surgical skill ( my scar is very neat) but also for his pre and post op care. I would also say to anyone putting off the issue, please dont make the mistake that I did, its simply not worth it knowing now how it can be rectified.
