Was just seen be Mr Chawla at Queens hospital Romford,,
Was put at ease the moment I walked through his door by his smile, his whole persona is amazing, a wonderful person, listened and advised, extremely happy to be under his care. Actually looking forward to my surgery.

I attended Dr J S Charla at the Westland Medical Centre for removal of a Chalazion. Dr Charla was extremely professional, respectful and explained exactly what the problem was and how the procedure to resolve it would be undertaken. He ensured that on the day of the procedure, any concerns or questions were fully answered and that together with his attending nurse (who was wonderful in allaying my fears), I was put at ease. Special mention too, goes to the Receptionist, who was pleasant, smiling and helpful.

I attended the Westland Medical Centre, Opthamalogy Department with a small skin tag/growth on my eyelid between eyelashes. I was seen by Mr. J. S. Chawla, who was extremely polite and informative. The procedure was carried out in a professional manner, he talked me through what was happening which put my mind at rest. He gave me some ointment to apply regularly, and I had a follow up appointment four weeks later and was discharged.
The whole process was faultless, and the Medical Centre is a pleasure to visit, all the staff being kind and helpful

I visited the Westland Medical Centre, Opthamalogy Department with a small growth under my eye. I was seen by Mr. J. Chawla, who was extremely polite, courteous and informative. The procedure was carried out in a professional manner, he talked me through what was happening and it was also nice to have Jeanette the nurse that held my hand. I had a follow up appointment after two weeks and was discharged.
I cannot fault the whole process from start to finish, if only all Consultants were like Mr Chawla.
I should also add that the Medical Centre is a pleasure to visit, all the staff being kind and helpful.

Mr J S Chawla is an experienced consultant eye surgeon specialising in Lens replacement surgery, multifocal, toric and piggyback lens implants, and complex cataract surgery. He has extensive experience in Oculoplastic surgery including correction of malposition of eyelids,ptosis, blepharoplasty, brow lift, removal of lesions around eyes with radio-frequency surgery, blocked tear ducts and botulinum toxin therapy for hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm.
Other areas of expertise include Glaucoma management, treatment of dry eyes, blepharitis and Argon and Yag laser procedures.
