Dr. Nixon has the ability to put a patient at ease which to me is important at the initial stages. He was very professional in the dealings I had with him and very forthright in advice taking time to explain his diagnosis.

Profile

I am an ENT surgeon and Senior Clinical Reader with an interest in head and neck and thyroid oncology. I have a PhD in thyroid cancer outcomes research and currently work in Edinburgh, UK. During my training I worked in both Guys and St Thomas' hospital, London and in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. I continue to be interested in both clinical and academic aspects of head and neck cancer and thyroid surgery. As well as my clinical work, in 2018 I was awarded the NRS Career Fellowship which protects time within my working week to dedicate to research which benefits NHS patients
