My name is Terence Wilson. I suffered severe achilles tendon problems for two years. I was put through physiotherapy treatment for months at first, then wet needling. None of these treatments worked. I was then given an appointment to see Mr Maxwell at Oaklands Hospital. Mr Maxwell was very optimistic from the start and saw how bad my injury was, Mr Maxwell gave me two options. The first was dry Needling and then surgery if this does not work. I chose dry Needling and this was very painful and failed. Mr Maxwell then explained the surgery procedure in layman's terms for me and had some appropriate humour because he was very aware of how depressed I was with this constant pain. I would like to add that my favorite pastime is Hiking and walking and used to do very long walks. On the day of Surgery Mr Maxwell put me at ease with his light humour and professional bedside manner. Although This procedure is invasive I can honestly say that Dry Needling was more painful. So here I am six month on and Discharged. I can Thank Mr Maxwell and his team for my complete care and recovery. I have managed to cover over forty miles walking within the last two weeks and completely one hundred percent Pain Free. If you read this Mr Maxwell, Thank you a thousand times.

Mr Henry Maxwell. I met him at Oldhams ICC, only 4 weeks ago, he told me about my ankle, what was wrong & how he was going to operate . I was booked in to Oakland Manchester, where he met me with all the fab care team, each one has a job to do and all told me what role they play in my operation. Mr Maxwell, as a great personality & put you at ease. If I need any more ops that need to be done I would 100% ask to be under him again.

I am sorry it has taken so long to write this review but better late than never. Back in January I was admitted to the Oaklands for an operation to remove a bunion and straighten my toes. Mr Maxwell was a gentleman and quickly put me at ease. Although I am approaching being a septuagenarian, this was the first operation I have ever had. I don't count having my tonsils out when I was four. My biggest fear was the anaesthetic and being 'knocked out', but Mr Maxwell and his team quickly allayed all my fears. They were all so kind and helpful. Before I knew it, the operation was over and I was soon on my way home. The after care was superb and as a result I am now walking straighter and steadier than for a long time and I haven't had any major problems either. I did have a little accident about a month ago when I tripped up and it hurt my foot somewhat, but there was no lasting damage. Thank you all again and apologies for taking so long to write this review. Kind regards. Jeanetted Marshall.

I found Mr. Maxwell extremely approachable; following investigation he outlined the cause of my complaint in simple layman's terms whilst assiduously, through his manner and delivery, creating confidence in what he proposed.
