My elderly mother was a patient of Mr Maxwells at The Oaklands, after having constant back pain for many years resulting in various periods of being completely bed bound and many many visits to various orthopaedic surgeons, Mr Maxwell found her to have two fractures of her vertebrae. We had tears of relief that she wasn't just a hypochondriac, which others doctors had implied. Mr Maxwell listened to her, that ti my mother in itself was a relief. After several consultations, as she was too old to face the kind of surgery required, support garments were prescribed and although she still was uncomfortable at times was 100% better than she previously. But to my mum, he got down to her level and talked directly to her and not me. If she had her way I would have been competing for husband number three!!!!! Thank you Henry.

Following several consultations with various orthopaedic consultants in the Manchester area I visited Mr Henry Maxwell at the Oaklands Hospital Salford. I immediately felt I had made the correct decision in booking the consultation. He is very professional, explaining the findings on both the Xray and MRI. Mr Maxwell advised me a THR was my best option. I had my hip replacement four months ago. I can honestly say this surgeon is 'Simply The Best'

I was under the care of Mr Maxwell in November of this year at Oaklands Hospital as an NHS patient I cannot thank Mr Maxwell enough for the treatment ,after care and consultation post op .His manner throughout was reassuring ,easy to understand, and given with a reassuring smile that was unlike many professionals .He had time ,wasn t rushed and was so easy to talk to .I would recommend him to anyone and say to them trust him he s great.

I have been a patient of Mr. Maxwell for a number of years, first as a private patient and now as an NHS patient. I cannot praise his Care and explanation of what is needed and which treatment is best for you. Mr. Maxwell is an absolute gentleman and could not be more helpful in explaining a treatment plan whether it is surgery or scans. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Maxwell to any person requiring Orthopaedic surgery and especially if a prospective patient is in any way apprehensive as he explains everything is such detail. Cannot speak highly of the superb Mr Maxwell , celebrating my 12 month anniversary of THR ,everything as gone as explained , although I thought I was superman and would be that deadline , well no it takes 12 month of patience and careful exercise ( walking the best option) All fully explained by Mr M , hopefully t’other is fine , but if it all goes south , I,m looking at Mr Maxwell as preferred choice .
