I arrived at the LGI as an emergency patient, barely able to walk and in excruciating pain. Mr Rudol operated on me and later that day, with help, I could walk and was almost pain free. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness, friendliness and of course most of all, his expertise.

Dr Rudol has filled me with confidence from our first meeting to the last consultation. He gives you his full attention and put me at ease about going through with the surgery, even with the complications regarding my surgery ( calcified disc L5/S1 with my sciatic nerve entangled in the calcification). After an extended period of rehab i can say at the time of writing this i'am approximately 75% on the way to full recovery. I have started back Swimming, walking longer distances and cycling. I would recommend Mr Rudol to anyone who is unsure about this type of surgery. Yours Thankfully Matthew Pottinger

From the moment I was referred, to my final discharge I have been cared for with the upmost respect. Mr Rudol was swift to deal with my case and was able to keep me informed and reassured throughout the whole process. He is a genuinely kind man who took his time to listen to me at every appointment and no question was ever a silly one. I am truly grateful to Mr Rudol for helping me get back to living my life.

I was so pleased that Mr Rudol explained the cause of of my back problem and the proposed actions so clearly, whilst not hiding the possible, if limited risks. Having arrived in a wheelchair from the car park to the hospital and being in some pain, it felt wonderful to wake after the operation with no pain and to be able to walk to the car the next day. I was able to walk 5-6 miles within 5 weeks of the operation and am so grateful to Mr Rudol and the staff at the Spire Hospital in Roundhay.

Mr Rudol has been totally open with me about the possibilities of the operation that I had giving the result that I would hope for.He didn't exaggerate the benefits,in fact was playing it down so I was not going to be expecting great things in case it didn't work. However having had the operation now I am in recovery and am finding that it has in deed worked and although I am not totally free of pain and discomfort it is far better than I had before.I am really happy with the way I was treated both by Mr Rudol and also the staff at Spire,Can't recommend him highly enough
