What an experience to be treated by a wonderful and superb Consultant. It was a real pleasure to be treated by Mr Robertson who was thorough and competent who fully explained every procedure before my operation. I can certainly recommend Mr Robertson to all my family and friends. It must also be mentioned that all the staff were respectful and efficient.

I was suffering from a double groin hernia which put my whole life on hold with the prospect of a four month wait with the NHS. Saw Mr Robinson on Wednesday 3rd July; operated Wednesday 10th July back at work part time (sedentary occupation) Monday 15th July. Mr Robinson is totally confident in his abilities & totally competent in the execution thereof. BRILLIANT!

I recently had gallbladder surgery performed by mr Gavin Robertson the result was excellent, I was a bit worried beforehand but mr Robertson made me feel relaxed about it by going through it with me in detail which I found comforting. Initially quiet and understanding completely of my inguinal hernia problem. Listened attentively to how caused and then informed me of further small hernia on right side.
One week later operated on and laporoscoply dealt with both problems. Apart from some expected bruising which I had been warned about no problems whatsoever and discharged 2 weeks later. Great result and superb efficiency by Mr Robertson, thank you.

Gavin Robertson is a Consultant Surgeon in Leicester specialising in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, especially surgery for gallstones having performed more than 4500, with no bile duct injuries and hernias;- inguinal, incisional, umbilical and ventral (more than 5000), He is an expert in the investigation and treatment of abdominal pain and the management of liver and pancreas cancers.
He qualified in 1984 in Leicester, trained in centres across the world before becoming a Consultant in 1999. He has specialised in laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years.
