Reviews
I was given great confidence from the beginning with Mr Kosuge. He correctly diagnosed the issue I had been treated incorrectly for over the previous 12+ months.
He walked me through the options with associated pros and cons and the whole process felt very transparent with correct expectations being set. Surgery was successful, rehab going well and I am very satisfied with the outcome.
Mr Kosuge is so easy to talk to and puts you at ease immediately with his friendliness and professionalism. He explains everything extremely well and his website is so helpful and informative. I was so pleased with my treatment at The Rivers Hospital.
Mr.Kosuge has a friendly and relaxed approach to discussions.
He gives you the possible options for resolving your healthcare situation in a straightforward manner.
I felt totally confident with Mr Kosuge. He was caring, professional, and made the whole experience quite pleasurable, which is a big thing coming from someone who has a medical phobia!
He did everything possible to put me at ease. He is very much in touch with his patients.
Dennis is the consummate professional, but also has a friendly, down-to-earth manner and is a good listener.
I never felt rushed with him, he was prepared to answer all my questions and answered them clearly and fully.
At every stage pre and post-op, I was made aware of each step and in as much detail as I wanted.
He is very hot on infection prevention and his method certainly worked for me. I am walking normally, unaided after just 6 weeks of having a full hip replacement.
At the risk of making this sound like a school report, he was also always very punctual, not something that can be said for a lot of surgeons!

Mr Kosuge developed his passion for Trauma & Orthopaedics as a junior doctor and pursued this by enrolling onto the North-East Thames Percival Pott Orthopaedic Training Programme. Following completion of specialist training in the United Kingdom, he enrolled onto and successfully completed a one-year fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia under the auspices of Professor Donald Howie. During his orthopaedic training, he was the recipient of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Zimmer Adult Reconstruction Hips and Knees Fellowship in 2014, the AOTrauma Fellowship in 2013 and the Tohoku University Orthopaedic Visiting Fellowship in 2010 – and utilised his time visiting, learning and exchanging ideas with centres of excellence in Japan.
