David Ricketts has made a huge difference to my life. He realised that I had been misdiagnosed for years and suggested a full shoulder replacement, which I had 7 months ago and he has just given me at his last check up with '10 out of 10' which I could feel myself and was delighted with. He is matter of fact and compassionate, skilled and professional with a dry sense of humour; I couldn't have been in better hands and have ended up with a fully functional new shoulder and new lease of pain free movements. Mr Ricketts carried out a carpel tunnel operation on my wrist. At the initial appointment and assessment he put me at ease, explained my options and the implications clearly. At the operation he was again friendly and made sure I was happy with what was about to happen. The surgery went well and the healing was quick and almost pain free. Thanks again.

I wanted to thank you for the amazing medical care you provided for me when repairing my shoulder. You were very friendly and took the time and effort to go above and beyond, showing such empathy and understanding, taking the time to explain the scan pictures and procedure. It was always a pleasure to visit you and I would come away with such a positive feeling. You did a super repair and I am now back to my old self, and the care I received from yourself and the rest of the team who looked after me, before and after my operation, was second to none! Mr Ricketts is brilliant; he is friendly and put me at ease very quickly. My condition was diagnosed, Mr Ricketts drew me a picture to help me understand what was going on and how he was going to perform the operation. I was booked for my op within a very short space of time. Since the op, I have recovered very well and have full range of movement. I highly recommend Mr Ricketts

Dr Ricketts is one of the best consultants I've ever worked with (and I have worked with MANY over the years due to extensive chronic damage to joints, tendons and muscles). Smart, warm, caring, engaging, patient and clear, with an amazing of humour. He's now performed 3 procedures on me. Wished I'd found him sooner. Also, his support team are amazing and helpful.
