Mr Chester is an amazing surgeon, full of care, kindness and understanding.
As soon as I met him I knew I could put my full trust in him. I suffer a lot from anxiety but Mr Chester instantly settled my nerves and I knew I could confidently talk to him.
My decision was a huge one based on many factors & one that had taken a few years to make but I decided the time was right & I knew it was a step in the right direction to improve my life and happiness.
I had a Breast augmentation as I unfortunately didn't develop during puberty so I knew my journey was going to be a tough one, after a lot of reassurance & decision making I went ahead with the operation on 4th November 2015 aged 22 years old.
I certainly went through the treadmill when I woke up from the operation as I was in so much pain & to begin with I wasn't sure how I was going to get through it.
Mr Chester was so supportive and caring in hospital, I couldn't thank him enough. Just to see a friendly face & have his words of support kept me going.
My journey has been a very emotional one & tough in terms of my recovery but I wouldn't change it for the world & I couldn't have done it without him.
I have gone from looking like a little girl who hadn't developed to a grown women where I now feel complete.
Through personal struggles in my life, Mr Chester is the first person I've come across so far that has understood me & showed me great kindness. I would recommend him to anyone & saying thank you would never be enough for what he has done for me.

My first consultation with Darren was in February 2015. I must admit I did feel very nervous and self-conscious, but straight away Darren made me feel at ease and I felt very comfortable talking to him. He was very informative about the procedure and the recovery. I left this consultation with no doubt that I wanted to have the operation and that I wanted Darren to do it! (If you are undecided, scared and self-conscious, like I was, then just go to the consultation and you will know what I mean about Darren Chester. He is a very kind and very understanding person. I had the operation done on 3rd June 2015 and don’t regret it at all. My only regret is that I didn’t have this done when I was younger. (My age at the time of the operation was 48). The treatment during my stay in hospital was fantastic! (Droitwich Hospital). Every single member of staff was lovely to me, from the Nursing Staff, Aesthetic Doctor and Darren himself. I think, because I really wanted this operation done and had thought about it for many years, this made my recovery feel quite easy. Initially there is discomfort, as there is with any operation, but I did everything I was told to do and every week I got better and better. I had no problems at all! My last appointment was in January 2016, where Darren signed me off. I have heeled perfectly, now you can hardly see the scarring. I really like my new look!!! And am so grateful to Darren. He is a very talented and amazing surgeon. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I know how it feels to really want the operation done, but just feel scared to do anything about it. My advice is to go and have a consultation; you will go away with good advice and all of the facts about the operation and will feel very confident about making this huge decision. (Just in case you are wondering … I went from 34GG to a 34C/D and feel fantastic! .... Thank you Darren :)

Fantastic surgeon. Made me feel at ease immediately. Listened to my personal circumstances with compassion. Very knowledgable and did a fantastic job. I had a fleur de lys abdominoplasty which has changed my life for the better.

Mr Chester is a consultant plastic surgeon. He qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 1995 with Honours in Pharmacology. He was trained in plastic surgery in the West Midlands. He is on the GMC specialist register for plastic surgery and was awarded the prestigious McGregor medal for achieving the highest mark in the FRCS(Plast.) examination. He has worked in the field of plastic surgery for the last 15 years and was appointed a consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (formerly Selly Oak Hospital) in 2007. He also provides the plastic surgery service for Worcestershire (Kidderminster Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital). He prides himself on his communication skills and involves patients fully in decision-making so that a tailored treatment plan is made. He has recently ran a communication skills course for plastic surgery doctors.
He has a number of specialist interests including: cosmetic breast surgery (enlargement, reduction, uplift, correction of asymmetry), tummy tuck surgery, liposuction, eyelid bag correction, scar revision, pinnaplasty (ear pinning), removal of skin lesions including skin cancers, hand surgery, amputation stump revision.
