Mr Ekwobi and his team were so friendly when I recently had a procedure done. I was quite nervous so Mr Ekwobi's sense of humour relaxed me and made it a pleasant experience. He is very professional and informative so I felt very well cared for.

DR Ekwobi you are a hero! After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 I have been living my life in fear of it coming back. It dominated my life and had a huge impact on my family. Dr Ekwobi agreed to complete a double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction for me. From my very first meeting with Mr Ekwobi I felt at ease. Although he is very professional it was like chatting to a friend. He gave reassurance when needed and gave a ear for me to moan/cry when COVID delayed things. My Surgery day ran smoothly with no stressors. The team were incredible and treated me with compassion and care. I was in the operating theatre for 15 hours and despite the long day Mr Ekwobi still made the time to check on my recovery. I am now 4 weeks post op and I feel amazing. My body looks fabulous with minimal scaring and my fears have reduced. I cant thank MR Ekwobi enough. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met who has changed my life for the better. I will forever be grateful! P.S thanks for the jelly babies

I had immediate DIEP reconstruction with Mr Ekwobi in 2018. He then carried out symmetrisation surgery for me in 2019. I had complex healing issues due to having chemo at the same time. He went over above in his care to ensure he fitted me in for appointments and kept an eye on my progress at all times. A truly inspirational consultant who cares completely for his patients.

Caring and considerate from the first consultation and procedure. Mr Ekwobi explains everything and listens which is very important when you have concerns. The nursing staff at The Greater Lancashire Hospital should also be commended on their care and professional manner, especially Michelle who chatted to me before my surgery which was very welcome and gave me no time to worry.....which I needent have done as I was in very good hands with Mr Ekwobi, my surgery was painless and although not quite healed as it was only 2 weeks ago there is every chance it will be unnoticeable once it has....very very pleased. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend everyone at The Greater Lancashire Hospital, I thank them very much.

Mr Ekwobi has completed two procedures for my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. In all the consultations, pre and post procedure he has be very approachable, reassuring and human! I have been very comfortable taking his advice regarding the best treatment for my mother. My mother described him as “wonderful” after her last procedure. I’d like to thank him and the nursing team at The Greater Lancashire Hosy for looking after us both.
