Mr Tsang operated on my hernia mid October 2017 at Peterborough City Hospital. I first met him about 4 weeks prior to my operation, he was totally wonderful and explained all that he would be doing during the operation. He filled me with complete confidence and i came away from our consultation feeling relieved and feeling lucky to be in his expert hands. He pointed out all the pros and cons of having the operation, but he left me in no doubt that i wanted to go ahead for him to perform my operation. I had been really quite poorly for the sixteen months prior to meeting Mr Tsang and had been messed about so much; changing consultants etc (losing scan results etc) which all had to be redone. Then i met Mr Tsang and all my confidence returned and my great faith in the NHS. What a fantastic surgeon Mr Tsang is and Peterborough is very lucky to have him, the NHS too. Thanks to him and the NHS for making me better! With kind regards and gratefulness for all his care and the care given to me by all the NHS. Sylvia Peile Severn House Riverside MALTINGS

the staff was very lovely and very supportive. They told me all about what treatment I was going to have. And wandered all of my questions I wanted awnsered. They where very good with my medication and listened to me and understood my reasoning for what I wanted. They knew I was in pain and cared for me in the best way possible. The surgeons in the operation room, were lovely but I was unable to remember. When waking up from the operation and I was back in my ward, I asked to use the toilet and a nurse stood behind me making me feel uncomfortable, I understand they need to keep a good eye on me but feel they could have given me a little more privacy. When getting told I was able to get discharged I then had to wait 4 hours till my medication I needed to take home, when all I wanted was to get home and rest.

Mr Andrew Tsang is a first class surgeon with an intelligent and caring approach to his patients. My operation was carried out in October 2017 and it has been a great success, even though the surgery was hampered by some anatomical complications with myself. He made sure staff kept me comfortable and has checked in with me a few times since. Highly recommended.
