I was referred to Mr Carrothers following increasing levels of pain in my knee, having been a keen runner for many years. Mr Carrothers was extremely personable and really listened to me and explained things very well. After x-rays and an MRI scan diagnosed damage to my meniscus we discussed options and decided to go ahead with surgery. My pre-op and post-op consultations were excellent, Mr Carrothers explained the procedure, recovery and next steps very well and had plenty of time for me. Three weeks on, I am back to being able to walk around three miles pain-free and hope to build this up gradually and with physio alongside this. Eventually I hope to be able to run short distances again, something that wouldn't have been possible prior to the op. I'd like to say thank you to Mr Carrothers for his skill and care throughout my treatment and would highly recommend him to others.

I have now had my second arthroscopy both under Andrew Carrothers. A very professional surgeon always makes sure you understand the procedure and constantly asking if you have any worries. On the last procedure on the 18/01/2021 I was given 3 types of pain killers but did not need to use them, I was up walking the next day unaided was able to take a shower had no swelling and when I had the external stitches removed the nurse struggled to see them because of such a neat job. I would also like to give a special mention to his secretary Carol Morse, always very cheerful on the phone and very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble

Andrew Carrothers is a charming man who put me at ease from our first meeting. Nothing was too much trouble and he went at lengths to explain the procedure, a total hip replacement, and what I could expect to experience post op. The operation was a success and nothing appeared to faze the very attentive staff who contributed to make my stay a very comfortable experience. Should I require further treatments I shall not hesitate to seek Mr.Carrothers assistance. Furthermore, I shall not hesitate to recommend Mr. Carrothers as the "go to guy" to any acquaintance requiring his wonderful skills. A million thanks.

I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Carrothers. I was very nervous never having had an operation before but Mr Carrothers instilled much confidence in me because he was so approachable. I felt I could trust myself into his care, which for me, is a big step of faith. I have just had my follow up appointment and Mr Carrothers listened carefully to my questions and answered them carefully and honestly and I feel reassured. I'm so very pleased l chose Mr Carrothers, he's been so kind and caring towards me with the upmost professional approach, this surgeon is worth his weight in gold. I have been unfortunate to have surgery twice this year, my first was keyhole to repair my cartlidge and tidy some arthritis, unfortunately this wasn't successful which lead to me having a total knee replacement, with robotic surgery, in late December. I'm doing well and each day is a day closer to getting my mobility back, as Mr Carrothers said on my consultation, let's get you in control of your life not your knee controlling your life, and that's exactly what's happening. I'm not very good at coping with having things done to myself, but Mr Carrothers and his surgery team are a great bunch of people who really make a positive difference to how you feel and cope with having surgery, l would highly recommend this team of professionals. Eternily grateful
