Having never dealt with a palliative care team previously going into the unknow and not knowing what to expect, Dr Reema Pal had put all family members at ease in explaining the process and support that she/team would be able to provide. The time and patience she had for us all was exceptional going above and beyond to understand our worries and concerns explaining in detail how best medication will help with my father-in-laws end of life care.

Il started seeing Dr Pal at the scariest point in my life. The first initial meeting I was emotional and in agony. Dr Pal listened to my fears and concerns. She talked to me about my illness and how she could help me manage the pain better. She referred me to phycologist. I wish all my other doctors were like Dr Pal. She has always had time to listen to me she shows care and compassion and no appointment is rushed. Dr Pal is someone who is trustworthy. I wish all doctors were like her.

Dr Reema Pal is not only an excellent Dr, she is extremely caring and intuitive , putting her patients needs upmost whilst supporting their family members through the most difficult and heartbreaking of times. Dr Reema looked after my husband having had a terminal diagnosis of Acute Myloid Leukemia with aggresive mutations. She was always there when he and we needed her the most. The level of care , commitment and support was of the highest quality. She looks at the whole person, gets to know them not just the disease and ensured that my husbands Palative care journey was seamless to the end. Her support and advice was invaluable to our family and helped us with the most difficult period of our lives having to say goodbye to our loved one. On the day Jon passed she made time and telephoned him whilst she was on leave and spoke to him whilst he was dying, telling him it was ok to go , it was time, he had done enough. She told him to get on his much loved road cycle and go adventure new routes. Her professionalism, expertise , dedication and such care for her patients and family helped us so much in preparing ourselves for what was happening every step of the way. The NHS is very lucky to have a Dr the calibre of Dr Pal .

We were seen by Dr Pal at home, she is an incredible clinician who makes very person centered decisions and was able to help us in our corcumstances by finding the most practical way through, she was on the phone to us vi the hospice at home teams, to provide specialist advice despite not being on call and we are so greatful she helped make mum comfortable

My late wife and I were very happy that Reema was the palliative care doctor who treated my wife in the last few months of her life. Reema was always helpful, kind, very respectful and, importantly for us, was not one to pull the punches but told you how things were however unpallatable. She listened to our concerns and questions and we felt that she addressed them genuinely. When making appointments Reema always tried to fit around our needs and altering her diary where possible. In short, a lovely, friendly, and knowledgeable lady, a privilege know.
