Stunning surgeon with an excellent team-save my life. Great care from a very professional surgeon who i would thoroughly recommend
Professor Jahangiri performed life saving surgery on my partner in 2013. Throughout the patient journey she demonstrated compassion, sensitivity, assertive leadership and expert clinical competence. She fought tirelessly to perform an ten hour highly complex aortic valve replacement surgical procedure that led against all odds to a full recovery. We owe so much to you Marian and we are delighted that others will now be able to benefit from your expertise. Professor David Sines CBE
I had aortic valve replacement with Prof Jahangiri as I was born with a heart valve defect and the time came for a replacement. I ended up moderate patient prosthesis mismatch which means the valve Prof Jahangiri put in is too small for me. I have no idea why she didn't put in a bigger valve but the result too is that I am less fit now than I was prior to surgery. I am now under another cardiac surgeon at a different hospital.
Prof Jahangiri took my husband from our local hospital to St Georges for an aortic valve replacement and bypass nearly 10 years ago. She was excellent from start to finish, a bit old school on the wards, certainly the nurses seemed to be on their guard when she was around. Have had excellent bi annual follow ups since then with one of her team, all very good. So glad to hear she has been reinstated today, would of been a drastic loss for patients.
I had major open heart surgery carried out by the professor at St Anthony’s Spire Hospital, everything was professional and first class. The Professors skills are second to none and my operation went very well. I was fortunate to be able to go private and my problems only really started post operation when I was referred through the NHS for follow up tests and consultation. It was almost a year after my operation before I was seen at St George’s hospital. The after care I have received from the NHS was dismal seeing me fall into the darkest of depression and anxiety. The Professor and her team at St Anthony’s get 5* the NHS zero.
