My whole experience with Katy has been fantastic from start to finish. She's has always explained things very well and given me options. I find her friendly and approachable, and always feel comfortable with her. My health insurance company made a mistake and she worked tirelessly to help sort it out and supported me completely. I first met Dr Ammar at Leatherhead when she carried out a hysteroscopy and then earlier this week Dr Ammar operated on me to remove fibroids and fit a coil at Epsom General. Dr Ammar carried out a laprascopic salpingoo-oopherectomy to remove my ovaries. She was very good at explaining the procedure, possible complications and post-op recovery. My first surgery date was postponed due to heart complications which only became apparent as I was waiting to go into theatre but then following detailed communication with cardiology she was determined that I would have the op as soon as possible. My post-op consultation was very reassuring and I would happily recommend Dr. Ammar.

I wish to recommend Miss Katy Ammar. I have been treated by her for fibroid removal and abnormally heavy periods. Her care and treatment of me have been exceptional, not just from a medical point of view, but in her communication with me. She has a rare gift of making one feel safe which is more than medicine and her care has been second to none - emailing me and calling me at home in the evenings to check I was OK and not worrying. She treats you like she would her own sister or friend whilst remaining totally professional. Her suggestions are not drastic but tailored always to what is right for you and your lifestyle. I have never experienced consultant care like this, and will happily take my daughter to see her if the need ever arises. If a consultant has recommended you have a hysterectomy, do see Miss Ammar first. She will examine every other avenue before having to take this step.
