Miss Ammar was kind and considerate from my first appointment. I was required to have a hysterectomy as I had large fibroids. Miss Ammar was considerate to the fact I could only take time off during December and rebooked her holiday. Her care before and after has been amazing. My scar is very very small and neat. I have had no post operation problems and with her care and guidance have been discharged after 6 weeks. I cannot recommend her enough. She made a very traumatic situation a very smooth transition. I was referred to Ms Ammar after a slight abnormality following an ultrasound scan which needed investigating. She put me at ease straight away and has a friendly, approachable but professional manner. She expedited my treatment so that I would not worry over Christmas which was very kind of her and very much appreciated. She explained what would happen and came to reassure me shortly after the procedure had taken place. I would highly recommend her.

I went to see Katy Ammar recently for a coil removal. Katy was brilliant. Calm, professional, with great advice and always with my best interests front and centre. It was far from the easiest procedure, but Katy was super dexterous and seemed to complete the difficult task with ease. It is now 7 weeks since I had a vaginal hysterectomy with anterior repair at Ashtead Hospital and I wanted to post a review as I was so very well cared for by Miss Katy Ammar. I found Miss Ammar to be warm and friendly but also very professional. She put me at my ease in what can be quite an uncomfortable situation in the consulting room. I had every confidence in her after our consultation, although I was initially apprehensive, particularly about my recovery. She was very reassuring and listened to my concerns, and she gave me time to make up my own mind about whether or not to go ahead. I did not feel pressured into a decision. She visited me soon after the op and on the following day and advised that the operation had gone well with very little bleeding, which I put down to her skill. I had no bleeding afterwards, no significant pain, and no sense of having been ‘bashed about’. I have continued to recover well at home and I give all the credit to Miss Ammar; she signed me off at five weeks and said she was pleased with the result. I am very pleased too and can honestly say that something I had been dreading turned out to be a very positive experience, thanks to her care and commitment.
