I am still under the care of Miss Brown, as I'm due to have a stoma reversal operation. I have spoken to three different consultants at the hospital and she has been the one who has made me feel more confident about the care I was to receive. More important than her obvious surgical skills, she is a 'good doctor' - meaning that she listens and takes an interest in her patients. I didn't get the impression that she had hurriedly read through my notes 2 seconds before the appointment. Miss Brown treats you like a person not a patient or a number. Even when I felt as rough as hell after my tumour was removed, she reassured me that was normal. There is nothing worse than being told to get out of your hospital bed and get moving when you are sick and exhausted - we all know that this is important but sometimes you need to nap. She has made my cancer journey a lot easier.

What a superb surgeon. Miss Brown inspires confidence and has reassured me about my various procedures whilst not sugar coating the information. I may be biased as she saved my life in 2014 (perforated bowel resection) and now is guiding me through various interventions for my perianal abscesses and fistulas. I can only hope that I'm lucky enough to continue having her operate on me. Professional, approchable, empathetic and most of all an absolutely fantastic surgeon.

Miss Brown is a superb surgeon & a wonderful caring person. She's operated on me MANY times (Due to my Crohn's disease). You never feel rushed during a consultation & she genuinely cares. I don't think I'd be alive today if it weren't for Miss Brown. If you're ever unlucky enough to need surgery, ask for Miss Brown as I doubt there's anyone better!

Miss Brown has carefully guided me back to health. I’ve had to have a colostomy, followed by an ileostomy, and finally a reversal. Throughout that time I was reassured that Miss Brown had my recovery to full health as her primary concern. 8 years later I have now had an incisional hernia repair and again Miss Brown’s care and expertise has reassured me throughout. Thank you!

I was treated my Miss Brown as an unplanned admission, I have had ongoing surgeries for perinatal abscess and fistula for 18 months. Miss Brown spoke to me pre-op, allaying concerns I had and clearly explaining the surgery. She visited me post -op on the ward and gave me the time I needed to ask questions regarding follow up care and treatment. I have since seen her as an out patient to discuss my next procedure, again I didn't feel rushed, she took time to clearly explain, even drawing diagrams. I found her very professional but also warm and friendly, I finally believe this will be resolved under her care.
