Some of the words I would use to describe Dr Sanjeet Kamath are knowledgeable, approachable/engaging/thoughtful/thorough and kind. Dr. Kamath is without doubt one of best doctors I have ever come across. He listened to me, arranged the necessary tests and came up with the appropriate plan to treat me and explained each step fully. I trust him implicitly. He is a wonderful doctor!

I had a really positive experience when visiting Dr. Kamath. Dr. Kamath explored my full history pretty much from birth which made me feel he was being thorough, and he was also very reassuring! I was able to get an appointment very quickly and it took 3 appointments over a 2.5 week period to have all tests and finally get a diagnosis. Dr. Kamath was very kind and took the time to explain everything in a way that I was able to understand, and I would definitely recommend Dr. Kamath for any rheumatology needs. Thank you Dr. Kamath!

I saw Dr Packham at the Haywood Hospital Stoke on Trent in 2004. At first l was diagnosed with PMR and was given prednisone. My GP sent me to the Royal in Stoke because he couldn't get a blood pressure reading after trying all th BP monitors in the doctors. When l went back to the Haywood l told Dr. packham about the Non BP readings. While l was in his surgery Dr Kamath came in and they discussed this extra problem. In Feb 2005 Dr Kamath took over and after a whole body Doppler it was found l had Takyasus Arteritis. This is very painful and l couldn't bare anyone touching me. I saw Dr Kamath regularly after the new diagnosis. He is very kind and helped when l had other problems. In fact he recommended to my doctors 2 tablets to see if it would stop me being sick twice a week for 1&1/2 days. Each time. They tried me on one but not the other. After about 3 years if it my doctor gave me the other one and it cured me. I was really sorry he left our hospitals.

I asked to be referred to another Rheumy as my current one at this Hospital was very dismissive and unempathetic. I found Dr.Kamarth via a Lupus Forum and he came highly recommended. I saw him today and fully expected to be treated as I had come to expect, badly. However, he was very thorough, listened to all my concerns and anxieties and explained everything without being patronising. I was in his office for nearly an hour, unknown in the NHS way of things. I realise this was as a new patient and that unlikely to get such long times in followup but he actively listened, and took a thorough holistic view of my condition starting from scratch and not being prejudiced by his colleagues opinions. So far i am very impressed long may it continue!!
