Dr Barr has been exceptional. The level of care and kindness he has shown us during this whole process has been superb, and he has been nothing but amazing with my son. Dr Barr has a real way with children, allowing them to feel safe, listened to and understood. The relationship Dr Barr has built with my son has made the process much easier, the way he has explained the outcome to my son was conducted in such a way with reassurance and kindness. Dr Barr is exceptional with children, but equally with you as the parent too. I cannot thank Dr Barr encourage for all the kindness and support he has shown, and continues to show us as a family.

Dr Barr really connected with our children and made them feel safe and relaxed so they could be open and honest about their struggles and feelings. He has supported them through diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions and treatment thereof and has quite literally changed their, and our, lives. We would highly recommend Dr Barr.

We saw Dr Barr with our 15yo daughter to discuss her neurodivergent diagnosis and how he might be able to help. He was very focused on our daughter from the moment he introduced himself and tried very hard to engage with her empathetically despite the fact that she really wasn't keen on being there. He had researched our background info thoroughly prior to the first meeting. During our follow up he was highly sympathetic to our challenges and offered a number of practical suggestions but so far we have been unable to persuade our daughter to accept taking any medicines. Dr Barr has been approachable and caring throughout and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for those in similar circumstances.

I was with CAMHS ed services for 5 years and in the last year with them he was the only psychiatrist to ever recognise my autism traits. If I hadn’t have worked with Dr Barr I don’t think I would have a diagnosis today, especially the one that saved my life! I couldn’t thank and recommend him more
