Very informative and thorough
The doctor is very polite and makes patients feel at ease. He listens attentively and explains and checks you have understood any decisions. Also includes you with any decisions.
I would recommend other patients to see him.
I have used the doctor twice in the last few months, on my first consultation, my son had a bad frequent cough and it was painful for a parent to witness especially when I had bought Benylin cough syrup and it didn’t help. I called Dr. Wilde and he said, Covonia, he also specified either expectorant or non expectorant, i don’t recall which, but as soon as I gave it to my son, the cough, like magic stopped in seconds. He obviously became my go to Dr. when things get unsure for me. On my second, consultation, whilst I was still exchanging pleasantries, he heard my son coughing in the background and from that sound alone, he made some comments, asked a few questions and gave a diagnosis and recommended some medication to help. I was impressed with his expertise, his prompt decision making and his crystal clear perception of the issue and the best way to resolve it. I have not bought the medication at the time of writing because all pharmacies are closed at the moment, I am however positive, that the prescription will resolve the issue once taken.
Dr Wilde was very reassuring and fantastic with my young child. He put my mind at ease and supported me with my sons bronchiolitis. I couldn't recommend a better Dr for a worried parent. He gave me tips on how to deal with it and signs on what to look out for. He even explained the background on how the condition affects the body and what to expect if it was to re-occur. I consulted Dr Wilde about my son's health anxieties on a number of occasions. I cannot praise his patience and professionalism enough. He was polite, caring and very informative. My son felt at ease with him from the outset and is now managing his anxieties much better.

Profile
I am a 2nd generation medical doctor with a simple approach to the practice of medicine; be approachable, friendly, empathic and try to get it right first time. Getting it right is more than simply arriving at a diagnosis and management plan. It includes observing patients in their entirety; their ideas, concerns, hopes, expectation and understanding. Ensuring a deep understanding of the condition they present involves a process of checking what indeed they have understood from our interaction.
I completed my general practice postgraduate training in 2004 in Southeast England at the Kent Surrey and Sussex Deanery and achieved a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2017.
I am a private general practice doctor in Hertfordshire with 25 years NHS working experience. I was in general practice partnership for 5 years and single-handed practice for 6 years. I supported my local urgent care and overnight emergency care service for 6 years whilst also piloting studies integrating primary care into hospital emergency departments, city ambulance services and care homes. I have supported drug and alcohol addiction services and HM Prisons across south-east England through my career.
I have led community child and adult mental health multidisciplinary teams and developed multiple areas of special interest. These including the management of acute medical conditions, chronic diseases, thyroid disease, menopause, elderly care, sexual health, health screening and travel medicine
I currently work with the Hertford and Rural Primary Care Network conducting morning virtual clinics and afternoon in-surgery appointments across 5 practices in East Hertfordshire.
