Dr Ottayil really takes the time to listen to my daughter, and to us as parents. He is very reassuring and has been a brilliant part of her healthcare journey. Even though we don't live in Chelmsford borough we don't mind coming to Broomfield to get her care, with him. She has had healthcare provided regularly by CGH, GOSH and EWHMS so we have a lot of experience with healthcare professionals, but Dr O has been a highlight.

Dr Ottayil saw my daughter aged 10, 3 times for Long Covid - He was extremely reassuring about how he felt she would get better in time and not to get anxious on how much school she has missed. He referred us to the Long Covid clinic which was quite helpful too. Dr Ottayil is a very understanding nice man . You can clearly tell that he loves his job and helping children. He is one of the best doctors I’ve seen with my child. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you Dr Ottayil for helping my daughter.

I have been to see Dr Ottayil on two occasions with two of my children after feeling too worried to wait for an NHS appointment. The first time I saw him, he knew instantly something wasn’t right, and he referred us back to Broomfield to his NHS clinic two days later with my 7 month old, we had originally been told by a GP to wait 8 weeks, had we waited, my daughter wouldn’t be here today. I owe everything to Dr Ottayil for not only listening to me, but for knowing his profession so well that something wasn’t right. Within the week we had been transferred to GOSH and my daughter has a life saving operation, none of that would of happened had we not gone private just that once to see Dr Ottayil, and we will continue to see him on the NHS at Broomfield. Sadly I’ve had to visit him again at Springfield with my youngest child, I wasn’t going to him because I expected him to be able to diagnose her, but I have so much trust in him that I knew deep down he would listen to me, and he did exactly that. He listened to every word and took it seriously. And he gave me reassurance that it wasn’t all in my head and has referred us into the correct path. I can’t thank, or rate him enough.
