This is one great doctor. I have been seeing Joe McGilligan for several years now and have never had reason to fault him. He is patient, considerate and caring as well as being extremely professional. I have recently consulted him regarding a heart matter and the associated anxiety this has bought on. He promptly arranged an ECG and blood test and when the results were through he explained to me in layman's terms and, not at all patronisingly, the possible causes and effects of the problem and he dispensed not only medication but sound advice about how I should proceed. I felt better on leaving his surgery and I hadn't taken a single pill! He has always taken the time to reassure me and settle any doubts I have had regarding my health. Oh, if only there were more like him. I know he also does a lot of charity projects and wonder, sometimes, how he fits it all in and still have time for his patients.

Dr. McGilligan has been my GP for over 10 years. He always takes the time to listen so that he understand issues fully and through his polite and gentle questioning he gains an understanding of contributory / underlying conditions. His knowledge is endless, his care and consideration are attributes that others can only aspire to. I have required surgery for various & unrelated ailments over the years and Dr McGilligan has always been so accurate in his diagnosis and referred me to specialists in the relevant fields meaning a speedy resolution for my issues. I have also had minor surgery conducted by Dr McGilligan at Greystone and once again the experience was wonderful - no fuss just positive, competent professionalism from start to finish and in follow through. A fantastic Dr at an amazing surgery - thank you.

Dr. McGilligan always takes time to listen and examine. He is very knowledgeable and has a good professional and friendly manner which puts one at ease. The Greystone surgery in general is very good. The phone is answered quickly and it is always possible to get an appointment within a few days and at times which I can fit around my working hours.
