Dr Thaventhiran is friendly and professional, who takes the time to address concerns throughout the consultation and actively listens and involves you in the decision making process re treatment plan and follow up etc.
He displays the Trust's values of safe, kind and excellence.
He could be better supported via admin staff sending out follow up appointments in time rather than having to chase up.
The doctor was very easy to talk to, explained what was going on with my condition and hopefully what will be happening in the future. He asked to see me again in 4 weeks time to get my results of the blood tests I had done. Due to the distance we live from the hospital I asked if I could have my appointment via telephone call as this would be much more convenient than having to arrange transport and another person to come with me. He was very accommodating with this request and made the appointment for this to happen. Much appreciated.
I have been seeing Dr Thaventhiran for a number of years and would not want to be under any other doctors care. He is considerate, has time to discuss issues with you and most importantly cares for you as a person and not just a patient.
I have found Dr James Thaventhiran extremely professional and a very caring doctor, and is very easy to talk to and fully understands how extremely frustrating and stressful your persistent ill health is, and is equally determined to do his very best to find the answers that you need, I am extremely happy with my care up to date and I am very grateful for his expertise.
Dr Thaventhiran Has a very professional and caring bedside manner, he was very friendly, listened and seemed to care about my situation, he informed me that he will do all he can to get me answers or treatment, I have to see several consultants and find myself frustrated and let down by the majority as they don’t listen and seem to do the minimum, I feel optimistic that under his care my health may improve or get some answers.
