I would like to give feedback on the service I have been provided by Dr Thakur. I cannot thank the NHS for having such an amazing doctor like her. She is the most caring, respectful doctor I have ever met in all my years. She has helped me so much with my son. Not only did Dr Thakur have understanding, she listened, observed and investigated each step. She has the most calming voice, amazing mannerisms and absolutely fantastic with children. I was at breaking point until I met Dr Thakur who has helped me through my difficult situation. All these years I thought it was my parenting until I met with Dr Thakur. Not only has she helped my son who has been suffering with his condition, she helped me to feel better in myself as a parent. There are no words in this world that can describe how wonderful she is. She is a credit to this service and hope she is appreciated. It is very rare to find doctors who have hearts, not only do they judge you but make you feel low in yourself. Not Dr Thakur. She is one in a million. I was so scared to ask for help as I know what the government services are like. The school where my son attends had told me that I am very blessed to have been given an amazing doctor as her. I heard great reviews by the school headmistress and a few parents who also praised her. I can put my hand on my heart and say all the reviews I have heard are 100% true. She explained every fine detail you could think of when she commences her appointments, detailing each step in depth. Helps parents like me understand. She also states if you do not understand anything, please do not hesitate to ask questions. I have suffered all these years thinking I had a naughty child and it was my parenting. Dr Thakur has now given me all my happiness back to know it was not my fault. My son has ASD. I want to thank Dr Thakur from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being such an amazing doctor. I would recommend Dr Thakur to the whole world if I could. Helpful, understanding, respectful, caring, remarkable, pleasant, wonderful soul. Thank you Dr Thakur for everything you do for parents like me. You are a true blessing and a true credit to this service. I give Dr Thakur 10/10 for everything as a feedback. Dated: 14/02/18

Dr. Thakur is extremely professional, yet very empathetic in her approach. She took genuine interest in our child’s assessment by following all the book approaches and also adding her own analysis and view point that helped us - as parents, to deal with the situation in the best possible manner. She is a very positive person and is very meticulous with her approach to ensure no stone is left unturned.

We count ourselves incredibly fortunate to have met Dr Thakur nearly five years ago with our first daughter. We as a family were really confused and needed reassurance; from the very first moment as a mother I felt that my child was in capable hands; Dr Thakur came across as an ultimate professional with a human touch and little did I know then how important a person she would become in the future for us. She became our daughter’s consultant and followed through her case over many years. With her support and guidance we are at a stage that our older daughter is thriving at school, developing friendship groups and tends to be now the centre of attention anywhere she goes! My younger daughter has been also diagnosed by Dr Thakur as a child who requires special attention. She has been very understanding and helped us through some really challenging times with our younger child. I cannot thank her enough and praise her empathy and professional skills! When one’s children are diagnosed with something as Autism, parents feel at loss; Dr Thakur truly ‘educated’ us as parents to look at our wonderful children and see how unique our children are. We will remain eternally grateful to her….I only hope other parents will be just as fortunate as we have been in finding someone as incredible as Dr Thakur.

Dr Thakur has been fantastic support for us as a family. Genuinely interested in our lives and how she can help and support us. gives us time to ask questions and answers us in a way we can completely understand. she is clear in how she addresses us and our son. we know that we are better off with her support and input as our family life can be lonely and isolating , she always seeks to improve our situation and offer us possible solutions and ways forward. we are very grateful to have her expertise and warm manner in our lives. sincere thanks for everything.

Thank you for allowing me to observe your clinic last week. I think that you are an incredibly competent doctor in your field. In addition to this I like the way you develop your professional relationships with both the patients and parents. You have a caring manor and are very attentive to all parties through active listening. It was lovely to see how appreciative and thankful the families were to you after each appointment. I appreciate the fact that even though you were busy you took the time to explain things to me and give me tips to better my practice as a student nurse.
