I felt at ease with this doctor. He came across as kind and reassuring. He appeared to have time to study my notes and talk with me. Before I went down to theatre I was given some pills to take by the nurse, but I didn't know what they were for and in retrospect I would have liked to have been told what they were for. I experienced some nausea when I got back to the ward after surgery and was given an anti-nausea injection which worked and I was discharged the same day as scheduled.

I liked Dr Uncles from the moment he introduced himself, I had just come out the bathroom and he waited patiently for me to get comfortable before we started our conversation which I thought was a lovely touch as I didn't feel rushed. We spoke about how I was feeling and he soon put my anxiety at ease. I asked him a million questions and he was more than happy to answers them without rushing again something I really liked. On arriving at theatre Doctor Uncles was very happy and we chatted which definitely took my mind off the soon coming GA. I would highly recommend DR Uncles to anyone.

Dr Uncles introduced himself as soon as he entered my room. He was very helpful and answered all my questions fully. I was concerned about the amount of pain I would experience when I came round from anaesthetic, he eased my concern. When I was in the anti-room he explained everything that would happen and again when procedures were carried out. He also informed me that the theatre had been booked for the morning, there would be no rush when carrying out the operation, he also assured me he would be with me all the way. Dr Uncles visited me in my room, after the operation, on Sunday, to make sure I was ok. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for him as my anaesthetist in the future.

Going into theater for an operation under general anesthetic understandably gives rise to worry and anxiety. It was very reassuring to speak to Dr Uncles, who has an excellent bed-side manner, helping to alleviate that stress. His professional competence as a consultant anesthetist is evidenced in that when I came round after the operation I felt no nausea at all. I can only thank him for both the high level of his professional competence and the personal care and attention he gave to me during his pre-operative visit.
