Chris was the anesthetist on a recent operation I had at Goring Hall. I'd had similar surgery before so had a pretty good idea what was going to happen. However Chris took time and effort to go through the procedure as far as his involvement was concerned,with my partner and I, prior to going down to the theater and later on when I was about to "go under" was particularly adept in ensuring any fears I may have had were allayed Similarly after I was back in my room and coming out of the anesthetic he was there again to ensure I was ok and comfortable I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone in need of an anesthetist. Dr. Marshall introduced himself to me prior to the operation and listened to my concerns regarding dislike to needles. He was able to reassure me that I would not feel anything and he was absolutely right. He was extremely patient and made me feel at ease when I was most nervous. Even when I had to sit very still when inserting the spinal anaesthetic he reassured me throughout. After my operation he put himself out to visit me, even though it was late in the evening. He has a caring nature and I felt completely safe during my treatment. I am sure he treats all patients the way he treated me therefore I don't feel he needs to improve his treatment.

Introducing himself which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He explained what was going to happen and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Every step of the way until I went under the anaesthetic reassured me explaining what was happening. Very professional. Thanks for your great care
