During and after my husbands treatment for prostrate cancer at Preston hospital Andrew was very supportive both to my husband and myself. My husband unfortunately suffered set backs which were quite debilitating and very distressing. Andrew, not only offered reassurance but also practical advice in order for us to eventually address and remedy the situation. He has a very professional manner but also has the ability to communicate his knowledge in an accessible way, which allowed me to understand and facilitate my husbands recovery. During this period I did encounter many other staff members from different departments, and found 'some' to be lacking in giving information or even giving incorrect information. It was not always Andrews place to "pick up the slack" but he did this willingly. A want to say a huge thank you for all he did.

I first met Andrew at my husband's oncology appointment last year after a shock diagnosis. He was reassuring, friendly, honest and professional at that first appointment and has been ever since. I can email him with any concern and no matter how small he always responds without fail, once even whilst on holiday. This means so much when you are worried about something. His presence has made this whole situation easier to deal with and I cannot thank him enough.
