Not given any useful information about waiting times. Head of initial assessment was abrupt and dismissive[8pm shift]
Really good experience.
All staff met went above and beyond their job roles. I was very well cared for.
Arrived at hospital with head injuries and neck problems
Waited on a chair for 6 hours
Until I saw a doctor who said I needed to lay on a bed
Had to be put in a scoop for a ct scan
Where I was ‘rocking’ back and forth
Side to side for a newbie to put me into the scoop on his own
Where more than one person was needed especially where he was new to the job
Was asked on arrival if I needed pain killers but Had to wait a long time to receive them
I attended queens hospital urgent care treatment yesterday and I would like to say that the service and care that I was given by a doctor called Ali was excellent and he was very caring and I felt very comfortable with him . I am writing this as so many people are quick to complain about the nhs but not many people praise the staff enough for their hard work .
Kind regards

No option for Visitors on here.
Visited my husband who is having part of a foot operated on. I dropped in some fresh clothing to him as requested. This hospital has posters up saying they support Carers and they can visit outside of visiting hours, I have my carers card also on me. We have Autistic children who are all missing their dad and had to come with me as there is no one else I can leave them with. We walked in quite happily, all my children behave impeccably and this one Nurse over sweetly asks me how old my child is in his Wheelchair, I reply 6. With that her tone completely changes and she says we have to take him out, she tells my other children to take him out. I refuse and explain that we are only there to say hi and drop clean clothing in, I explain to her I am a carer to all 3 children and my Amputee Husband. That we are dropping this stuff in and then we'll go. She's telling me he can catch bugs off the ward and that kids his age are not allowed on the ward ( we were there the day before without any problems or comments) I believe she was singling him out cause it's obvious he has something going on and is a big tall lad in a 'buggy'. There is no posters, nothing on the website stating any of what she was saying and even her fellow Nurse said to us she didn't know what that was about. I think she took her jobs frustrations out on a 6 year year old although she didnt look particularly busy she was just standing around. Disgusting behaviour and absolutely uncalled for. She even arranged a porter to take my Husband for a random CT Scan so we left, we'd been gone quite sometime before he then was taken for this random scan. This Nurse was just pure mean for no reason. We quite literally just came in, Husband happy to see us and she falsely took interest in the 6 year old to then try and succeed to expel him from the ward. He was in his chair, quiet as a mouse causing zero harm or disruption to anybody else. This was 12.30 on Sunday April 28th 2024. Outside of visiting hours so our children can mange the noise on the ward/inside the Hospital generally. Like I say, welcomed to do so by the posters splashed on the walls of the hospital 'we welcome carers'. Just a man trying to get fresh clothing and a wife and her kids doing their best. Do better Queens.
I felt that I should express my gratitude to the team
The operation was excellent with very good results with no scaring.
The aftercare leaves a lot to be desired. I did not receive an appointment to have the stiches removed and in the end I gave up after numerous attempts to make a hospital appointment.
I was concerned about leaving the stitches in for more than 2 weeks as the skin was growing over them.
I arranged to see our practice nurse who without the correct equipment removed them and it was very painful. She did state if they were left any longer it would have been an issue to have them removed.
After numerous cancelled appointments |I finally got the all clear and was signed off.
I was treated politely and professionally by all the staff who dealt with me.
Around a 10-12 hour wait sat in an uncomfortable chair also very cold. My bloods and blood pressure were taken after I arrived by ambulance. My blood pressure wasn’t reported to me or explained. I was just told to sit in a waiting room on a chair. Some people had already been waiting for 10 hours. There didn’t appear to be any doctors that night. No one was being called overnight. We were told they’d be a wait but no reason given. It was awful. I just needed to lie down but couldn’t. The room next door I noticed had more comfortable chairs but it wasn’t made clear why we in the adjacent room could not use them after waiting so long.
