Around a 10-12 hour wait sat in an uncomfortable chair also very cold. My bloods and blood pressure were taken after I arrived by ambulance. My blood pressure wasn’t reported to me or explained. I was just told to sit in a waiting room on a chair. Some people had already been waiting for 10 hours. There didn’t appear to be any doctors that night. No one was being called overnight. We were told they’d be a wait but no reason given. It was awful. I just needed to lie down but couldn’t. The room next door I noticed had more comfortable chairs but it wasn’t made clear why we in the adjacent room could not use them after waiting so long.

Suggested improvements
- give us a reason for the wait and give option on what we can do - help us be as comfortable as possible not sitting on a hard chair from 2-3am to 2pm the next day. - be communicated to by a nurse at regular intervals. They sent a healthcare assistant to tell us that there was delays which I didnt think was fair. - ensure the emergency department are appropriately staffed with an adequate amount of doctors
